Creating Alternative Materials for the Visually Impaired

  • DAISY Materials: Digital audio materials for readers with visual impairments, physical disabilities, dyslexia and other types of disabilities related to usage of printed materials. All materials are made while adhering to international DAISY standards

  • Electronic Braille Materials: Production of electronic Braille files for specialized books for which voice support is not possible, such as second languages, engineering materials, and sheet music. These files can be printed out by using the braille information instruments

  • Braille label Books: Made by attaching Braille label stickers on printed book pages so that visually impaired and non-disabled children can read books together

  • 3-Day Dream[e1] (DAISY): For users with disabilities who want to obtain a general overview of a book, DAISY files are produced by scanning the original copy and inserting only the first level of table of contents, with minimal editing applied. In this way, DAISY files are provided within 3 days (excluding the day book is submitted, and includes only working days).

  • Braille Printouts: Electronic braille books and electronic braille scores in the form of braille files available online are produced and provided as paper braille books

Production of Alternative Materials for People with Developmental Disabilities

  • Easy Material: Simplified modification of sentence structure and sentence length by using words that are easy to understand for people with developmental disabilities (such as autism disorders and other intellectual disabilities), including additional illustrations to help readers understand the content

Production of General Alternative Materials

  • Accessible EPUB 3.x: EPUB 2.0-based e-books with additional features added to make them more accessible to those with disabilities

  • (Barrier-free version) Book trailer: A short video introducing a book that is about to be published or a book that has already been published. Produced in video format that features narration, subtitles, and sign language, enabling those with disabilities to have a convenient viewing experience.
